VIMAPC Sound Design
Description
The Vienna International Music and Audio Production Competition celebrates the artistry and technical excellence of sound design in the realm of commercial cinema. Participants are invited to showcase their creativity and expertise either by re-creating sound for a chosen commercial movie or by crafting original sound designs for a film excerpt. There are no limitations on the length of the submission; however, participants are encouraged to submit the most impactful and engaging segment of their work.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. All submissions must be in a digital format compatible with standard playback software.
2. Participants must provide a detailed breakdown of the sound elements used in their submission, including but not limited to Foley effects, dialogue mixing, music composition, and ambient sounds.
3. Submissions should adhere to industry-standard audio specifications for clarity and quality.
4. Participants are encouraged to utilize a variety of sound recording and editing techniques to enhance the overall audio experience.
5. The submission must be accompanied by a brief explanation of the creative choices and technical processes involved in the sound design.
